Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2014
Body, depth, longevity are the characteristics of this flagship of Italian enology, the company's emblem. Wine of great expressive rigor, with a noble character, endowed with an elegant timbric, daughter of the terroir of origin, able to grasp the various nuances of the territory. Harmonious and complex, it envelops the palate with an incredible persistence, achieving perfect maturation with an evolution of a few years. Perfect match with the typical dishes of the rich and tasty Tuscan tradition, like red meats, game and aged cheeses.
Grape varietal: 100% Sangiovese Grosso also known as “Brunello” in Montalcino
Vinification: medium-long fermentation on pomace, with frequent pumping of the wine over the cap, maximum temperature left to rise freely up to 30°C
Climate conditions: Very rainy and hot winter, without any snow and frosts events, opposite spring with a lot of rainfalls and a cold climate brought to a very late ripening. Summer was cold, with a lot of rainfalls and some hailstorms in specific areas of the hill. A difficult climate moment where producers worked hard with treatments to protect plant health and manage the canopy and leaves. A so late veraison compared to the past, brought to the harvest in the late september.
